Qazpatent held a roundtable "Innovations in the field of biopharmacology, their legal protection and commercialization"

On November 25, 2022, a round table on the topic "Innovations in the field of biopharmacology, their legal protection and commercialization" was held at the Kazpatent site.

The round table was attended by representatives of scientific organizations, universities, pharmaceutical companies, state operators for the provision of innovative grants, and other interested persons. The event was held in a hybrid format.

The round table was opened with a report by the Director on the activities of the patent Office. In his speech, Yerbol Ospanov also noted the high potential of the domestic pharmaceutical industry through the example of the development and implementation of the Kazakh vaccine against COVID-19, along with those few countries that have also developed their vaccine.

During the meeting, topical issues in the creation of innovations in the field of biopharmacology, recent achievements, key problems arising in the process of creating, protecting, and commercializing the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities in the field of medicine, as well as the relevance of legal protection and the possibility of commercialization were discussed.
