On December 12, 2024, at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, an event was held within the framework of the 33rd session of the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP), dedicated to the launch of the WIPO Toolkit for New Product Development and the Use of Inventions in the Public Domain. At 17:30 Astana time, coordinators of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) participated in the event online.
The program included welcome remarks and a project overview presented by Mr. Alejandro Roca Campaña, Senior Director of the Intellectual Property for Innovators Department (IPID), IP and Innovation Ecosystems Sector, WIPO.

The speakers provided a detailed overview of the practical tools offered by the new WIPO toolkit. These tools assist researchers, inventors, entrepreneurs, and Technology and Innovation Support Centers in systematizing the process of developing new products and services based on inventions in the public domain and successfully bringing them to market.
TISC coordinators highlighted the importance of this toolkit as a key resource for strengthening the capacity of national TISC networks.
