Today, the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners on the results of the three national competitions was held in the Nazarbayev center:
- competition "N. Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge»;
- online competition of inventors "Shapagat»;
- online contest among students for the best essay "the Future is in your hands: invent and create".
These projects were implemented by the Ministry of justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan and the National Institute of intellectual property.
"N. Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge" is aimed at deepening the knowledge of children and at increasing their interest in the transport industry among schoolchildren. The partners of the competition were the corporate Fund "Samruk-Kazyna Trust" and "Air Astana".
The competition was attended by 85 students from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and all regions of Kazakhstan.
Qualifying rounds were held by representatives of schools from Cranfield University (UK) in aerospace competitions.
Thanks to the competition, students have deepened their knowledge in the field of air transport engineering. At the end of the three-day rounds, the winners were teams of students from Aktobe and Kyzylorda regions, as well as the best students from the regions of the country. The finalists visited the UK, where they were trained at the Cranfield aerospace University.
During the event, the winners of the Republican online contest of inventors "Shapagat"were awarded. The contest participants submitted their videos, which were devoted to patented inventions, utility models and industrial designs.
Five inventors-winners of this competition were determined by online voting. These talented young people presented their inventions in the field of construction, fire safety, and veterinary medicine.
The third contest, the winners of which were awarded in the Nazarbayev center was the Republican contest among schoolchildren for the best essay "The future is in your hands: invent and create".
Its purpose is to stimulate creative activity among schoolchildren, popularization and dissemination of knowledge in the field of intellectual property, instilling the foundations of patent culture in the younger generation. This competition was attended by students in grades 8-11.
More than 500 essays were submitted in Kazakh Russian and English from all over the country to participate in the competition
Noting the importance of youth projects, Deputy Executive Director of the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan – Igor Rogov in his welcoming speech said: "thanks to the implementation of youth projects, it was possible to identify hundreds of talented children from all regions of the Republic. I am sure that participation in our joint competitions was a good motivating factor for the development of children's abilities. They allowed us to gain valuable experience and improve the implementation of ideas."
After the award ceremony, a tour of the city of Astana was organized for the participants, which was attended by the Minister of justice of Kazakhstan Marat Beketayev. During the conversation with young inventors, the head of the Department noted that this competition will inspire children to new achievements, will help in choosing a profession, and the skills will be useful to them in various fields of science and technology.
