Training seminars on legal protection of intellectual property objects took place in Karaganda city

The training seminars on legal protection of intellectual property objects held at the Universities of Karaganda city on 14-15 February, 2019. Speakers of NIIP, Heads of departments, divisions and examiners A. Artykova, A. Trinkolenko, S. Umbetova, A. Kazieva, L. Salken, D. Nygmetov and A. Taisheva presented their speeches on recent developments in the IP-related legislation of Kazakhstan, on activity of NIIP, on importance of exclusive rights, on patenting of inventions and utility models, on registration of copyrights, on transfer agreements on exclusive rights and on legal protection of means of individualization.

Karagandy State Medical University was established in 1950 is a leading medical university of Kazakhstan on training the qualified staff for healthcare system, keeps high reputation in the field of presentation education, science, medical-diagnostic services. Undergraduate, post-graduate students and professors attended the Seminar. By the result of seminar Vice-chancellor on scientific work Anar Turmukhametova thanked the organizers and expressed her hope to continue holding such a seminar in the future. In total 48 patents were patented by University for inventions and utility models (preliminary patents, utility patents).

Karaganda State University of the name of Academician E. A. Buketov was established in 1938 and its mission is to maintain the regional leadership in classical multidisciplinary education by way of implementing up-to-date quality standards, multilevel continuous education model, scientific researches, training competitive specialists of new type, possessing fundamental knowledge, innovative approaches and research skills essential for scientific, educational and practical activities. Seminar was attended also by the representatives from MIA RK Karaganda Academy named after B. Beisenov. In total 50 peopleincluding post-graduate students and professors of the Universityattended the Seminar and had lectures on IP issues. Vice- chancellor on scientific work Khylush Omarov informed that there is commercialization office at the University that intends to collaborate profoundly with NIIP and promote the patented inventions and utility models in demand to the market. In total 99 patents were given to the University (preliminary patents, utility patens).

Karaganda State Technical University, University of the First President of Kazakhstan, was established in 1953 and aims at preparation of highly qualified competitive specialists oriented to solution of scientific and practical tasks of the state program on forced industrial-innovative development of the country. In total 80 people attended the Seminar. University was granted 170 patents in total for inventions and utility models (preliminary patents, utility patents).
