On March 5, 2019 in Almaty, the Training Center of the branch of the RSE NIIP held a round table

On March 5, 2019 in Almaty, the Training Center of the branch of the RSE «National Institute of Intellectual Property» of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (branch NIIP) held a round table on the topic «Legal protection and registration conditions of the appellation of origin of goods».

This round table was held to increase the filing of applications for trademarks and appellations of origin.

The director of the NIIP branch, Orynbekova Z., opened the round table with a welcoming speech. She briefly spoke about the changes and additions made to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Trademarks, Service Marks and Appellations of Origin».

Representatives of business structures and patent attorneys participated in this event.

According to the program of the round table, the head and chief expert of the Department of analytical studies on trademarks and industrial designs Omarbekova Zh.E. and Gorbunova T.V. made presentations on the following topics:

• legal protection and conditions of registration of the appellation of origin of goods;
• existing facilities by appellations of origin.

At the end of the round table, the head of the legal department of «Foodmaster Trade», Baigunova Zh.M. thanked the organizers for the work done on this object.
