L.N.Gumilyov ENU and RSE "NIIP" have combined their efforts and identified key areas to increase the patent activity of scientists and inventors of the University

April 18, 2019 at L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University held a seminar on legal protection of intellectual property with the participation of representatives of RSE "NIIP". Vice-Rector Ph. D. Gulnar Merzadinov opened the seminar for scientific-research work, who noted the timeliness and importance of the seminar. In addition, the author of the State Emblem of the Republic of KazakhstanZhandarbekMalibekov took part in the seminar; Head of the Commercialization Department, Sergey Smailov; Head of Innovation Patent Activity DepartmentZhannurKasymkhanov; teaching staff and staff from the administrative and managerial of the University.

What and how to patent? What is the statistics of applications by inventors and scientists of the University? What are the key trends in the commercialization of university department uses in determining the direction of patents corresponding to the most popular sectors of the economy? These and other issues were discussed during the seminar, and the parties made a number of proposals to increase the growth of patent applications.

Cooperation between the University and RSE "NIIP" will be continued, if necessary, RSE "NIIP" will provide advice in the preparation of applications for patents for inventions and utility models.
