NIIP supports talented youth

On May 15, 2019, the Director of RSE NIIPYerbol Ospanovmet with the finalist of the contest among schoolchildren “Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge – 2018”Yevgeny Demidenko, a student of the 11th grade of the School No. 2 “Murager” of Kyzylorda.

At the final of the competition in July 2018, Yevgeny and his team presented the concept of a new aircraft, including physical design of the aircraft based on Boeing 757. After the challenge, Boeing purchased the project, and today it is on further implementation at aerospace University of Cranfield in the UK.

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev University, National Institute of Intellectual Property and Cranfield University (UK) holds the challenge annually. The partners of the challenge are the Corporate Fund “Samruk-KazynaTrust” and the National Air Carrier “Air Astana”. The challenge is held in order to stimulate and support the intellectual potential of Kazakh schoolchildren, increase their interest in creating products of intellectual activity and familiarize the public with the creative and scientific achievements of young people. It should be noted that this year the challenge of schoolchildren “Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge” is held within the framework of the implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State in the address to the people of Kazakhstan “Growing welfare of Kazakh citizens: increase in income and quality of life”, according to which 2019 is declared theYear of youth.

During the meeting, Yerbol Ospanov gave Yevgeny a number of recommendations regarding the protection of intellectual property rights, and wished further success and victories.

- For such people like you - the future of Kazakhstan. Today, youth support is becoming a priority of state policy. In turn, young people are expected to have an active and effective impact. We are immensely proud of you, we wish you good luck, let all your plans are realized, study and work for the benefit of our country, - noted Yerbol Ospanov.

Yevgeny made a brief introduction about his future goals and thankedYerbol Ospanovfor the sincere conversation.

- I am very glad that I took part in this challenge, and I had the opportunity to visit the British University of Cranfield as part of the educational trip of the finalists of the challenge, - said Yevgeny.

In addition, Yevgeny Demidenko is a Member of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK), Speaker of the XXVII session of the APK. To date, Yevgeny is developing an application that could be involved in all sectors, from training to the field of content and media, called “ILEARN”, now it is at the prototype stage. Yevgeny is determined to bind his life with IT.
