On August 29-30, 2019, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Asian Development Bank, held the ALTYN OIMAQ forum-exhibition at the Korme exhibition complex, and the Women's Entrepreneurship Support Fund acted as a partner in the event.
Development of light industry in Kazakhstan today is one of the priority areas of the economy. On December 11, 2018, at the awarding ceremony for the winners of the prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa" Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev once again noted the need for active work on import substitution in the light industry.
The fair - exhibition was attended by more than 80 domestic companies - producers in the categories: clothes, shoes and textiles "Everything for the family and home".
Opening of the forum began with a welcoming speech by the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar. Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” Eduard Kvyatkovsky, Director of the Representative Office of the Asian Development Bank in Kazakhstan Giovanni Capannelli, Founder and Director of the Kazakhstan brand of children's clothing “Mimioriki” Inna Apenko and Commercial Director of “Tarazkozhobuv” Yerlan Orazaliyev also made a welcoming speech.
The business and exhibition program of the Forum also included master classes in craft and legal IP protection. Specialists of the RSE "National Institute of Intellectual Property" told the participants about the features of the legal protection of industrial designs and trademarks, on copyright protection, on requirements for e-filing of applications, as well as on recent changes in the legislation in the field of IP. The master class was held by A. Artykova, L. Salken, D. Kussainova, A. Nurakhmetova, S. Azhіbekkyzy, S. Aitmagambetova.
As a result of the master class, a number of domestic producers announced their intentions to file applications for industrial designs.
Participants thanked the organizers and partners of the exhibition, noted the importance of holding such events in Kazakhstan and made a proposal on holding such exhibitions in the future on an ongoing basis.
