A press conference dedicated to the IX International Forum "Anti-counterfeiting - 2021"

An online press conference dedicated to the International Forum “Anti-Counterfeiting. Global Challenges and Protection of Intellectual Property in a New Reality” was held on August 27, 2021.

The press conference was attended by Director of the EEC Business Development Department Galiya Dzholdybayeva, Vice President of the Anti-Counterfeiting International Association Baysolt Khamzatov and Kazpatent Director Yerbol Ospanov.

Starting the press conference, Galiya Dzholdybayeva spoke about the most priority areas that were used in the work of the two-day forum.

Baysolt Khamzatov noted the importance of holding a constructive dialogue between representatives of the authorities, business and the public of the EEU member states in the fight against counterfeit products.

In turn, Yerbol Ospanov spoke about the work carried out by the Ministry of Justice in the fight against counterfeit products and noted that the fight against counterfeit is possible only with the joint efforts of copyright holders and users.

The forum was held in a hybrid format - face-to-face conferences and video conference calls. Speakers and representatives of various organizations were able to fully share useful information with the participants and discuss the questions raised regarding the fight against counterfeiting.

Note that within the framework of the forum on August 26 and 27, 10 sessions and the Anti-Counterfeiting Youth Forum were held in a hybrid format.

During the final meeting, the high level of preparation of both the conference participants and the organization of this event was noted.

An expert marathon will take place online on August 28.
