Kazpatent held a meeting with 150 students from Nur-Sultan schools as part of the Young Inventor School on December 23, 2021.
The purpose of the Young Inventor School is to promote knowledge in the field of intellectual property, as well as to motivate the development of inventions among the youth of Kazakhstan.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of Kazpatent Yermek Kuantyrov, who congratulated the guests on the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence, noting the importance of holding such meetings with the young generation of the country, and also awarded the present winners of the Republican contest of inventors "Shapagat-2021" from Nur-Sultan, the results of which were announced on December 10, 2021: Sayakhat Nukeshev, Nurzhan Bulatov, Akmurat Altynbek, Azimzhan Ramazan (For the reference: the names of all ten winners of 2021 were published on the Competition site).

The inventors thanked the organizers of the Competition, and also urged schoolchildren to create, invent and not forget to get legal protection for the results of their intellectual work.

During the meeting, the Head of the Development and International Cooperation Division of Kazpatent Inkara Shertysheva also delivered a speech and invited children to the world of inventions, shared interesting facts from Kazpatent's activities, focusing the attention of young people on competitions held by the IP Office, in which they can take part.

The event ended with an interactive quiz on the topic of the meeting, as a result of which the most active participants received gifts.

A series of events within the framework of the Young Inventor School was launched by Kazpatent last year. The first meeting, which took place on February 3, 2020, was opened by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Beketayev.
