Today, on September 9, 2022, a round table on the topic: "Creation of innovations, topical issues of protection and support for their further development" is being held at the National Institute of Intellectual Property in a hybrid format, which is attended by representatives of the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering "IMB Center", the Science Foundation, the Center for the Development of Trade Policy "QazTrade, the Kazakhstan Center for Industry and Export "QazIndustry", the Center for Scientific and Technological Initiatives, Nazarbayev University, and also scientists, inventors.
Within the framework of the round table, Vice Minister of Justice Akerke Akhmetova outlined the role of effective state policy in the field of support and protection of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities, which is a stimulating factor in the growth of innovation and creative activity among the creators of innovative products, thereby influencing the Global Innovation Index of Kazakhstan. The Vice Minister also focused on static data on registered intellectual property objects, so for 8 months of this year, 5771 copyright objects were registered in Kazakhstan (2021 – 8,506); 6085 trademarks (2021 – 10,579), including international registration; 563 utility models (2021 – 1,122) and 358 inventions (2021 – 651).
The purpose of the Round Table is to create a dialogue platform for representatives of the scientific and inventive communities on the one hand, and organizations that define and implement policies in the field of state support for scientific and scientific-technical activities, on the other hand.
Within the framework of the round table, the issues of the activities of the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering "IMB Center", state policy in the field of commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities, patenting of technical solutions, integration of science and business, commercialization of intellectual property, development of companies through research and development work, as well as issues of measures of state support for domestic exporters and stimulation of industry.
