Training Center of the branch of the RSE “NIIP” held a workshop on the topic “Trademarks and Appellations of origin in Civil circulation”

On January 28, 2020, the Training center of the RSE “NIIP” branch in Almaty held a workshop on “Trademarks and appellations of origin of goods in civil circulation”.

The workshop was held for the purpose of legal explanatory work for representatives of business structures, domestic manufacturers and interested parties.

The event was attended by representatives of the Kazakh National Agrarian University NAO, Bakhus JSC, Schmitt & Orlov Intellectual Property LLP, KAZANAT DEVELOPMENT LLP, Eurasian Patent Office LLP and others.

Experts of the Department of analytical research on trademarks and industrial designs told the participants of the workshop about the legal protection of a trademark both on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad, the application procedure, termination of the trademark, challenging the registration of a trademark, violation of exclusive rights and judicial practice in the field of trademarks.

At the end of the workshop, participants were issued certificates.
