Qazpatent and the Center for Scientific and Technical Initiatives "Samgau" Discuss Prospects for Cooperation to Promote Invention and Patenting

On August 23, 2024, a meeting was held between the management of Qazpatent and the management of the Center for Scientific and Technical Initiatives "Samgau" Foundation. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation in the field of promoting invention and patenting within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.

The Center for Scientific and Technical Initiatives "Samgau", striving to develop scientific and technological projects, expressed interest in improving the qualifications of its R&D coordinators and specialists of subsidiary organizations in matters of protecting intellectual property rights. In turn, Qazpatent proposed a number of measures aimed at improving the understanding of the processes of patenting, registration of intellectual property and support of innovative projects.

The meeting discussed the following key aspects:

  • Joint educational programs – Possibility of developing and implementing advanced training courses for employees of the Samgau Center and their partners, including in-depth study of patent law issues and invention registration processes.
  • Support for innovative projects – Discussion of creating a mechanism for prompt support of inventors at the early stages of their project development, including consultations and assistance in preparing patent applications.
  • Creation of scientific clusters – Development of a strategy for the formation of specialized clusters that unite inventors, scientists and experts in the field of intellectual property to create innovative solutions and their subsequent protection at the global level.

This meeting confirmed the importance of cooperation between organizations whose activities are aimed at developing scientific research and innovation in Kazakhstan. In the near future, the parties plan to continue discussing specific steps to implement the plans.

Qazpatent expresses confidence that this cooperation will contribute to the further development of inventive activity in Kazakhstan and strengthen the country's position in the international arena in the field of intellectual property.
