On April 19, 2024, the grand opening of the region's first Technology and Innovation Support Center (CPT) took place on the basis of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University with the participation of Rector Karimova Beibitkul, Head of the Department of Justice Irina Bakisheva, Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Kyzylorda region Syzdykov Pirmuhammad and online connection of Deputy director of Qazpatent Artykova Aydin and head of the Department of Inventions, useful models and breeding achievements of Batyrbekova Altynai. This important step marks the beginning of a new era in the development of the innovation environment and technological entrepreneurship in the Kyzylorda region.
"The opening of the Technology and Innovation Support Center in the Kyzylorda region is a significant event not only for our region, but also for the whole country," said the rector of the university. "We strive to create a favorable environment for innovation and technology development, and we are confident that the joint efforts of scientists and representatives of the business community will help us achieve this goal."
As part of the opening of the TISC, a round table was held on the topic "Opportunities for the development of technologies and innovations", which was attended by representatives of Qazpatent, the teaching staff of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, as well as representatives of the subjects of innovative activity in the region. The prospects for the development of the TISC in the region, topical issues of protection and management of intellectual property rights, as well as ways of cooperation to stimulate innovation and create a competitive economy were discussed.
In particular, the head of the Department of Patent Research and Coordination of the TISC, Baktybayeva Nazifa, spoke about the role of the TISC in unlocking the innovative potential of the region and the country as a whole, the chief expert of the Office for the Examination of trademarks, appellations of origin and geographical indications Ilyasova Arailym noted the importance of legal support for geographical indications.
The TISC in the Kyzylorda region will provide extensive support in legal aspects and create conditions for sustainable growth of innovative and inventive activities in the region. Inventors, entrepreneurs and innovators can gain access to the expertise, advice and infrastructure needed to successfully design and promote intellectual property.
