THE QAZPATENT INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE FORUM FOR YOUNG INNOVATORS WAS HELD AS PART OF THE VI SCHOOL FOR YOUNG INVENTORS

The International Science Forum "Girls and Intellectual Property - Catalyst for Innovation and Creativity" (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) was held on 12 April at QAZPATENT as part of the 6th School for Young Inventors.
The forum is dedicated to Science Workers' Day in Kazakhstan and International Intellectual Property Day.
Botagoz Zhakselekova, Vice-Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan, opened the Forum with a welcome speech, noting the importance of the state policy implemented by the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan and the role of intellectual property, which is a key catalyst that allows researchers and innovators to preserve their ideas and innovations while ensuring protection against illegal use.
A total of 322 people took part in the Science Forum, including 79 offline and 243 online. Participants included pupils in grades 8 to 11, college and university students, teachers and school principals.
Participants are represented from the cities of Almaty, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Rider, Aktau, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Satpayev, Ulytau village, Zhanaarki, as well as from the cities of Kyrgyzstan - Tokmok, Naryn, Bishkek.
Young scientists from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan presented their projects: "Creation of digital resources and programming", "Pathohistological diagnosis of canine breast cancer", "Drilling rigs for tunnelling in mountainous conditions", etc., after which all those present actively participated in the discussions and asked the speakers questions.
The "Nanosatellite" project by Sholpan Amangeldy, a grade 10 student at a high school in Almaty, which she has been working on for the past three years, aroused great interest among the listeners. According to the young inventor, "The nanosatellite will study the state of the ozone layer, the astronomical movements of near-Earth space will be able to predict earthquakes, and will also be able to contribute to the artificial triggering of rain, which is very relevant for regions with an arid climate.
It was the first time that the Young Inventor's School was held in the format of a science forum, with talented schoolchildren who won various international science competitions organised by the International Centre of Scientific Collaborations (ICSC) as speakers.
Participants in the Children in Science project shared their experiences and inspired new achievements by other schoolchildren.
The event is organised by QAZPATENT and the International Centre of Scientific Collaborations.
