Advisor to the President Sir Suma Chakrabarti visited Kazpatent

Today Kazpatent was visited by the Advisor to the President – Deputy Chair of the Supreme Council for reforms Sir Suma Chakrabarti.

Meeting was attended by Vice Ministers of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akerke Akhmetova and Natalya Pan, Kazpatent Director Yerbol Ospanov, as well as Deputy Directors Nurdaulet Abulkairov and Makpal Shugaipova.

Akerke Akhmetova introduced Sir Suma Chakrabarti to the main activities of Kazpatent, the latest legislative changes in the patent system and Office’s quantitative indicators.

Natalya Pan spoke about the promotion of IP knowledge among the younger generation, presenting a brief overview of Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge held by the Ministry of Justice and Kazpatent in cooperation with the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, Nazarbayev University and Cranfield University (UK). The Challenge partners are the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Social Development Fund and the flag carrier of Kazakhstan Air Astana.
